I had read this, as well.
Any change to this franchise's cast or crew is a big mistake.
Disney might not always understand damage control but it understands the green, and these movies (with the cast as constituted) mint money.

 

We've got a 22-year-old college kid running for mayor who is parroting Trump constantly. He fills his campaign site with pictures of him with Trumpists like Corey Lewandowski and Pence's campaign manager. Hilariously, he posts form letters he gets for donating $25 to the RNC to be on the "Leadership Committee to Make America Great Again" as if it's an actual serious appointment. He thinks this is a winning strategy in this red city in a red county in a red state - even though the mayor's race is a non-partisan post.
