Retroactively figuring this stuff out is sometimes a puzzle.

Warner Brothers/MGM/Ted Turner pulled a dozen Looney Tunes and Bugs Bunny / Merry Melody cartoons out of circulation years ago for their racist content.

"Holiday Inn" is shown on AMC with its minstrel show sequence edited out.

TCM leaves the sequence intact.

You guys always read things in the most extreme possible way. I was pretty clearly talking about drinking a gallon of milk, locking the windows, and farting my guts out.

It’s funny that you think you’ve got me in the greatest “gotcha” of all time.

It’s a dumb mistake, but it doesn’t change anything. Words aren’t my tools like they are yours. I get why you would find a mistake like that particularly galling, but it doesn’t make me wrong, or you right.

I thought that was urban myth about Turner, much like the rumor circulated that Bill Cosby bought up the rights to Amos & Andy and later The Little Rascals (or at least the rights to the episodes deemed more offensive) to keep them off the air.
Turner always needed content, I can't imagine him willingly having yielded to such a thing.
