Adam Goldberg had a lower WHIP. Provably and demonstrably.

Anybody else watch Fauda on Netflix? An Israeli show about the conflict in the West Bank. Created by and starring a former member of the Israel Defense Forces strike teams the show depicts. Critic Tim Goodman nailed it when he said the show gave him a serious The Shield vibe due to it's content and the lead's resemblance to Vic Mackey. Worth checking out.

Great exchanges like this (Israeli defense chief chewing out his unit for going rogue) "In any other developed country, you'd be taken out and shot. So be grateful we have a shitty country."

I haven’t seen season 2 yet but liked first season.
Cool Song Exploder episode about the musical theme.

Binging the new season of Orange is the New Black. I understand they need to keep mixing in new characters to keep the storyline from getting stagnant - but they waste way too much time on the guards. Since Healy, Pornstache and the others - there hasn't been one I've wanted to learn more about. And like GLOW, I'm surprised how much time they spend on male characters, particularly those whose problems seem so trivial and uninteresting compared to the inmates and wrestlers.

I have that X-Men comic they refer to. Bought it when I was their age so this series really hits home.

I was hesitant to start Succession for some reason, maybe because Sepinwall--who I usually trust--said it didn't grab him. It totally grabbed me. Watched four episodes the last two days. Will catch another on my lunch break. It's compelling stuff.

  7. I checked out of OITNB after season 3. It got lost.

Try Wentworth, Aussie version of OITNB. The first 2-3 seasons of it are solid.

I haven't checked it out yet because the theme seems really unappealing to me. But its getting near universal praise now, since it apparently ratches up the intensity around episode three or four.

It is by no means a great show but it is fun to watch. Season finale is next week and I wonder how they will keep the interest up for anymore than a season 2.

I finished episode 7 last night ... I've heard the bachelor party episode is freaking wild. Can't wait to watch when I get home tomorrow from assignment.

I agree with your assessment. It's definitely not a GREAT show, per se. But damn, it's keeping me entertained. Sharp Objects is a great show, but it can be hard to watch, just because of the subject matter. Amy Adams is sensational, though.

I'm pumped for this on multiple levels. I wish Buck O'Neil was still alive to make a cameo.
