Wow. You actually wrote that sentence.

Sometimes you can play a role and become it so completely that you start peddling some real BS.

Maybe you're right. Maybe our only choice is to acquiesce to the pretend reality of right-wing talk radio.

... a weird place where the FBI is some sort of liberal haven, where Donald Trump is an honest broker and a deal maker, where we're not allowed to say, "Merry Christmas!," where unemployment numbers are fake (unless we like them), and every unproven conspiracy is just more proof of how deep the conspiracy goes!

If the Trump supporters are dumb, they're dumb. (and they are). If that moron wins another election, so be it.
I'm not going to let you piss on my leg, and you tell me its raining.

I think it's a lot more complex than any sentence that starts with, "The way you create savings..."

It doesn't matter how high the interest rates are when the average household carries $100,000+ in debt, with $15,000 of it in credit card debt. It will never make sense for people to save while carrying a credit card balance, because the interest on the balance will far exceed any conceivable savings interest rate. My assumption is that the easy money that has been flowing to those with the credit to acquire it is most reflected in the values of stocks, high-end real estate, commercial real estate, and art. I suspect, in large part, it remains in its own orbit, with a small percentage leaking out here and there.

The reason why there is a demand shortage is not easy money, it's that the people who most need the money, i.e. the people who would actually spend it locally on the kinds of goods and services that create local jobs, do not have that money. The GOP has done a remarkable job of brainwashing its base into believing that any call for the rich to pay more is a call for socialism or dependency. The Dems have not helped matters by advocating taxes while also engaging in hard core crony capitalism, and thus diminishing their trustworthiness. The most effective way for this country to reset its demand cycle is to slash taxes and put more money in the pockets of people who will spend it immediately, inside this country's borders.

No, there are, I assume, many reasons to "like" a post.

Are you saying Qanon isn't true? And that I should take the red X off my Twitter handle because there's no such thing as "shadow bans!?!"

I thought it was 13 Angry Democrats.

Which, you know, soon, will be a movie. Redford as lead.
