Trump is 100% correct, though. It IS time for Mueller to end his investigation...Trump and the cronies have given us plenty of evidence that he accepted illegal aid for a foreign power, then conspired to obstruct justice.

Hell, today's tweet alone is all the proof you need.

"Ness and I had a very nasty & contentious business relationship. He should recuse immediately! The Treasury Department is filled with angry anti-Capone figures. And besides, the economy is the story. I provide a lot of jobs. A lot. Believe me."

Re the Bob Woodward book, from this mornings WaPo 202:

Trump administration officials are bracing for the release of Bob Woodward’s new book. Politico’s Annie Karni reports: “[T]he process for managing the book has not been as formal in [Trump’s] White House [as in past administrations] … Woodward was never officially granted access to the White House or to the president, and the communications department did nothing to help him in researching or writing his book. … The result is what often happens in Trump world: Senior officials, acting as lone wolves concerned with preserving their own reputations, spoke to Woodward on their own — with some granting him hours of their time out of a fear of being the last person in the room to offer his or her viewpoint. As one former administration official put it: ‘He hooked somebody, and that put the fear of God in everyone else.’ Another former official added: ‘It’s gonna be killer. Everyone talked with Woodward.’”

No, sir. Mueller has tons of stuff, and he's still pulling threads and gathering more, forcing more people to roll over and tell what they know. We are only just now approaching the payoff stage of the investigation. He's going to nail a lot of hides to the barn door, and it will be very interesting indeed to see whose and how high this thing went. There are very legitimate questions about how high in the Republican party knowledge of illegal campaign contributions reached, because not a damn soul reached out to the FBI and said "Hey, there's foreign influence and money flowing into the campaign, and that's illegal as hell. You guys need to look at this."

He’s heading into Nixon territory. But there’s a big difference. The Democrats dominated the House and Senate. Impeachment and removal are political acts. The GOP is in control. They’ll never remove Trump.

Maybe. There is an election coming. It will depend on what comes out when. The Dems taking the House looks increasingly possible.

I would add that Trump has never had any discipline about his tweets. He is obviously getting more and more agitated and spooked. There is no telling what he might step in early one morning while on the Presidential crapper.

What happens when Sessions refuses? Does Trump sack him and put someone in place who *does* shut Mueller down? Where is the limit, because there is one.

Nixon was hanging in there until he went one step too far and the Republicans broke, and then it was over.

Note that all five guilty pleas are for lying about Russia. Seems encouraging, as there has been plenty of that going on.
