I watched through season 2 but lost interest, seemed like the show's formula was set in stone. But yeah, first season was a hoot.

They jumped the shark in seasons 3-5 but came around somewhat in the final season.

I love 30 for 30, but I'd consider that to fall under the umbrella of sports, or even movies, more so than a regular television show. They were under one grouping of 30 for 30, but otherwise they were individual, 60 to 120 minute documentaries. They didn't talk about it specifically though, as opposed to The Shield and Gossip Girl, which they mentioned as the two they got the most comments about, IIRC.

“The Grand Opening.” It’s a classic. I wonder how often someone walks up to Susie Essman and yells “Fuck you, you car wash c*nt!”

I might vote for “Krazy Eyes Killa” or “The Doll” but maybe those were too obvious.

Also, there were some great ones from later seasons. “Palestinian Chicken” and whatever the one with Michael J. Fox was called. Oh, and the one starring Gregory the pre-gay kid.

    A brilliant show.

I’m a big fan of the early season 2 back-to-back punch of “Dennis and Dee Go on Welfare” and “Mac Bangs Dennis’ Mom.” That was a two-fer that drew a lot of people into the show.

I’d also speak up for “Shaping America’s Youth” just for the Frank Reynolds sex scene in Lethal Weapon 5.

Sherlock, Veep and Party Down are some of my all-time favorite shows. None of their best episodes made the list alas. Kudos on the Office pick though.

Oh shit, now I'm going to be thinking all night about what I'd consider the best Party Down episode.

They also omitted what was by far the best show MTV ever had -- Daria, which ran from '97 to '02.

It was hitting its stride big-time in the final 2 seasons.

    Lets cut to the chase.
Youd have the Jamelle SC in there.

Celebrate Ricky Sargulesh usually gets the top spot, but my favorite is the sweet sixteen boat party with J.K. Simmons.
