For the millionth time, the birther thing originated on Free Republic. It was actually somebody named Andy Martin.

The New York Times ad about the Central Park Five was taken out before they were convicted and after they were exonerated he still insisted they were guilty and refused to apologize.

He said there were very fine people on both sides. One side included Nazis.

He never claps back at Steve Kerr or Gregg Popovich. I wonder why. Also, maybe the fact thst he throws a hissy fit every time somebody says something critical of him means he's in the wrong job.

What does he have to do, burn a cross?

Is there a difference between trump calling Don Lemon the dumbest man on TV and a regular citizen posting that Sarah Sanders is the ugliest person in government?

Context, they say. It was conveyed in a tongue-in-cheek tone that can't be grasped in print. Or something.
To which I say: OK, if it's contextual, can you find me some other tweets that refute the notion she's a racist? If not, drop the image rehab campaign and don't bring her on board.

Exactly. Is this the first time he's admitted it was designed to get dirt on the opponent? Time for somebody to find a tweet in which he claims it wasn't designed for intelligence gathering. The guy can't keep his lies straight.

This is an easy line, and I get it, but it doesn't answer the argument, as you know. I used Republican instead of conservative for a reason. There are smart conservatives, of course. As I've said elsewhere, I feel bad for them. They're the most fucked of anyone right now. People without a country. They vote Republican, they vote for a racist moron who isn't remotely conservative. They vote Democrat, they vote Democrat.

I don't know if Steve Kerr harbours any political ambitions, but he could run and win just about any office in America, I have to think.

    Re: "Very fine people" comment.
I've said this before. Let's assume for the sake of argument that there were some very fine people who gathered in Charlottesville on that Friday night motivated only by a desire to protest the removal of Confederate statues. If you're among that group and you see tiki-torch-carrying Klansmen and Neo Nazis uttering anti-Semitic chants on Friday night and you are truly a very fine person, you are offended by such conduct. You realize the event you thought you were attending has taken on a tone of contempt rather than responsible civic discourse. And then you get the hell out of town. If you are, therefore, in the Neo Nazi crowd by Saturday, you are not a very fine person. And the infamous Trump statement was, if I recall correctly, in response to a question about the Saturday images.

The Trump statement was nothing more than a shout-out to his people, none of whom is "very fine" if supporting such conduct.
