And didn't escalate way beyond what it should have? I know there was a battle or two fought along the border, and I seem to remember some mention of it getting close to going nuclear. Like, on par with some of the more infamous U.S.-USSR close calls.

 

Like I said, you’re clearly much more emotionally invested in the opinions of anonymous strangers than I am. Perhaps, for you, those opinions hit at something uncomfortably close to the real-world truth?
