Just curious, is it wrong for me to insult a veteran for supporting Trump and calling LeBron a punk?

 

Sounds OK to me, but others might say it sounds hinky.

I'll defer to Batman here for clarification on all things hinky.

I just don't care much for these Chris Kyle/Kris "Tanto" Paranto assholes who respect Trump because he'll let the troops waterboard POWs or something like that.

 

It sounds like you're trying to say that Trump voters are dumb, which was my default assumption as well until I realized that some smart people voted for him. I don't get it either. But it's a big party with tons of candidates and supporters throughout the country; not just Trump, Roy Moore and Jim Jordan. You brushed with too wide a stroke (is that how that goes?) and I understand why. It gets tedious to say over an over how could so many people have voted for HIM, so you, a good writer, try to come up with other ways to say it. It's just a message board, so lack of care in your accusations / theses is far from criminal, but if I point it out, don't just dismiss it as an easy line.
