There was a directive uttered by Goodell late last season, and Riveron complied. I dint recall the specifics.

Unofficially , they tightened the replay overturned requirements and loosened the catch specifics (as witnessed in the super bowl.

I know, and just a bit late for my tastes. (Jesse James was robbed!) :(

I realize writers have to write about something during the dog days, but I'm pretty much over the HOF induction ceremony, unless it's someone like the Kre(e)amers. Jerry and Andrea. Or Robert Brazile.

Are we done with the Lamar Jackson, Johnny Manzeil and Terrell Owens storylines?

The Browns traded 2016 first-round pick Corey Coleman to the Bills for a seventh-round pick in 2020. Maybe Cleveland's new regime is on the right track, but the old one hasn't stopped doing its damage yet.

It wasn't like Coleman was a reach - everyone had him as a lower first round pick. But you would have figured the Browns would have learned with Josh Gordon that Baylor players are trouble.

Sometimes draft picks don't work out, even first-round picks. That said, it just seems like a very Browns thing to have a first rounder turn out to be so bad that they gave up on him after only two seasons.

Falcons have them beat -- they gave up on Brett Favre after one year.

To be fair, the Falcons had Chris Miller and advanced to the Divisional round during Favre's rookie year. Glanville said he'd never play him. Is Glanville the most overrated coach in football history?
