To say that Gates worked for the administration is just dead wrong.

That’s not me shading the truth, or playing some game of words.

It’s not a gray area. It’s not sort of true that he worked for the administration. He never did. That’s a black and white statement of fact.

That I’m right, and you want to spin this as me being wrong, and ignoring some larger truth is odd to me.

Why is it hard to admit this one mistake?

 

The man has a point. Cruz is a Beltway elitist with this move, not a real Texan.

A meeting with Mueller is the big leagues, where the stakes are existential, the opposing team is merciless and the downside risks are the size of the White House. This impulsive, stubborn man can’t resist trying to pull off this stunt. What could possibly go wrong?
