    I had a pierogi pizza from a place called Seve-N-Dots in Carlisle, Pa., a few weeks ago; still don't know what led me to order it. But it was sublime. This place is up there in pizza land, at least for this region.

    As a self-admitted pizza snob. .... There is nothing wrong with Pizza Suprema. That is a solid slice. By most standards, it's an excellent slice. By NYC standards, it's still a VERY solid slice. It's pretty popular for people who have a few minutes before a Knicks or a Rangers game.

    What's sad. ... There used to be way more places like it. It's been there a very long time. A lot of those places have slowly disappeared. Many that had lasted 40, 50, 60 years, have disappeared in just the last 5 to 15 years. Rents killed those places during the run up. And what's sad is that a ridiculous number of storefronts are just sitting empty, while all those long-standing gems went away.
