Fair enough. Good luck to you.

And, while you've had your share of experiences, you're surely missing out on others, but you'll never realize that.

Agreed 100 percent. That's a little too much for my taste.

That's part of my problem. I'm relatively new to twitter. I follow less than four hundred people, the vast majority of whom are reporters. Many of the tweets I put up involve articles I find interesting, linked by someone who either succinctly summarizes, writes a good hed for it, or says something about the story that I find amusing. I can read the story and throw out some summary introducing it - but if I use anything in the linking tweet that attracted my eye in the first place, it feels dishonest. I feel that they can bring a lot of news value, quickly focused. I'll limit the gotcha/meme type harder as that seems to be the prime offense.

Some of my follows are pretty severe #Resistance, yes. I try to limit them here. Of late I'm trying to post fewer tweets in general, since it seems to bother some of y'all. OTOH, I'm on page one of the likes column, and I think that a fairly large percentage of those came off of tweeting someone else's work or wit. *Someone* likes them.

I'm still going to link a good many as I run across tweets that I find interesting. Example below - I have no idea who Jeffery Bergman is, but he wrote a solid intro, and frankly I don't think my taking it off and doing one myself would add any value whatsoever. I do follow Garrett Graff. His thread here summarizes the highlights (lowlights?) of Wilbur Ross very nicely, and Bergman frames it nicely by referring to the process by which Trump filled his cabinet. Good thread.

Without commenting on the politics, I'll note that "proscribe" means "forbid."

Why do I think some Koch money is involved with this. For the record, the Swamp Accountability Project is a dark-money group. Nobody knows who is behind it.

Rep. Collins says 1. He will continue to campaign for re-election. 2. He will not address his arrest outside the courtroom. Two is gonna be difficult for him, as I imagine local media and especially his opponent will bring it up a few times.
