President Trump: The NEW one and only politics thread

Well that's more a product of the news cycle, right? Outrage only lasts until the next thing comes up, which is why this whole N-word tape is just nonsense. It distracts from actual issues. While it may seem like it is attacking Trump, it's actually doing him a favor.

 

They're still in cages, some of them. And there's more talk about training camp.

 

If all you do is watch the news, I can see how you would reach this conclusion.

 

My dad did say, "Man, there's no way that idiot wins again in 2020."
I said "But you knew he was stupid crazy and you voted for him."
He said "Well, I didn't know he was this crazy."

So, who knows. Maybe people like my parents can be swayed. I expect they'll find a reason they can't vote for whoever the Democrats nominate, but who knows. They like that Trump's being tough with China and trying to rewrite a lot of trade deals, they generally like less regulation and they hated Hillary. Guess we'll see.

 

This is the blowback to this country following and covering politics like sports: there's very little the "home team" can do that will upset the fans. Al of that negative energy is directed at the big cross town rival. Is there really any difference between Hannity or Bill Maher and Around The Horn?

 

The Access Hollywood tape, leaking, after years, in the heat of the campaign, is a great example.

The same thing would have happened with any “N” word tape.

 

Except they are two separate videos controlled in the possession of different people. There are many variables other than people being interested at play. As always, your argument is utter bullshit.

 

Cmon. If the tape is controlled by a Trump friend why would it have come out during the campaign?

 

I also think there is the possibility, as others have mentioned, that anyone associated with the video won't like how they look if the video comes out. Anyone heard from Billy Bush lately?
