Fox's Laura Ingraham: I wasn't talking about race

 

She's smart enough to know what demographics mean. And statistics show illegal immigration is less of an issue now than it was 10 years ago. It spiked during the Clinton and Bush years but has declined since 2008. It was racist and factually wrong.

 

She didn't just limit her talk to illegal immigration, she included legal immigrants, too. This is also just coming on the heels of Stephen Miller's proposal to go after some legal immigrants.

I guess they can stop pretending it's all about the rule of law and "doing it the right way."

 

White privilege is feeling you have more of a right to feel comfortable than someone of another ethnic background. Ingraham probably dismisses the idea and at the same time absolutely wears it like a badge.

 

Do you think this is something she has ever asked for?

 

We run around feeling we have the right to sanction any country that makes us feel uncomfortable while never having to face sanctions from other places for often doing the same thing (meddling in elections, invading other countries). Why wouldn't that extrapolate to the way we feel about people in our own country from other places? Those with the most power --- people and nations --- tend to feel they have a right to any damn thing they please.

 

I bet they will be especially disappointed that the ones with the flags are gone.

 

The reason why Trump doesn’t take questions at a press conference is that when he’s forced to articulate his beliefs, he says things like “there are very fine people on both sides”.
