I'm seeing reports that their were violent clashes last night in Charlottesville, between protesters and the police, and that the media was threatened, and even assaulted.

I'm surprised you guys haven't seized upon these reports to condemn the right wingers responsible for this violence.

Exactly. YF keeps acting as if it would be some sort of gotcha if it turns out the tape isn't real. This is is an embarrassment for President Trump no matter how you look at the situation, though his claim that it definitely doesn't exist clearly isn't true.

The fun question would be YF's reaction if the tape becomes public. Would he run away and hope it blows over or actually try to defend the use of the word?

I bet you're right. Gun to my head I don't believe the tape exists. If it came to light that it does, I wouldn't be shocked. But there is no way that Omarosa is pulling a Woodward-Bernstein here. She's recycling rumors to gin up interest in her book. If it comes out later, she looks smart. If not, well, who cares because her bank account looks the same anyway.

 

It is also not the reason Trump is in office. It's the people - mostly Sanders voters - who were too pure to vote for Clinton. In key states, those folks stayed home. If they show up, Clinton's in there. The "plague on both houses" segment did a number on this country.

 

It's always funny when people who did vote for a woman who enabled her rapist, and serial sexual predator, husband, and who led the campaign to discredit his victims, pose hypotheticals about Trump, to see what would cause people to abandon their support for him.

 

Partially. Also the vote for 3rd parties in key states, if given over to Clinton would have swung. Plus the Russian tampering with the vote count in Pennsylvania Wisconsin Michigan. By 104,000 in 3 states the election swung.

And Hillary and the democrats get no quarter for making her the presumptive nominee since 2008. And the republicans for falsely demonizing her since 1992

But mostly it was a chance for ignorant whites to rise up and destroy the country they have hated since Elvis was a star
