"Unending investigation"? Really? Six Congressional Committees investigated Benghazi over two and a half years. Mueller has been working for roughly half that. He's gotten guilty pleas from Trump's inner circle and he's still finding more to investigate. Legitimately.

Here, the date is right, but the source is wrong. As virtually every factchecking outlet has reported, there’s no evidence that Hillary Clinton, or even her official campaign, were at all involved in the development of Birther rumors. Moreover, there’s no point in the timeline of Birtherism’s creation or spread for Hillary to even be involved, unless she and her campaign were remarkably incompetent at it. Even so, pundits, politicians and the press continue to argue over how, precisely, Birtherism got its start."

This tape is the dumbest non-story. It makes no difference, for the same reason the billy bush tape didn't change anything. There isn't one person in America whose opinion about trump will change if the audio exists. We all know what he is. You want to dent he's a racist. Ok, YF - if the tape turns up tomorrow, what changes for you? If it turns out he's never used the word in his life, does that change anything for the rest of us? Is there a single vote at stake here? A single approval rating point?

Is there any particular reason that elections and recounts can't be overseen by a neutral party rather than elected officials who are members of a party in the election?

If all that happens, it will have been through democracy. The Constitution vests within the legislature the power to impeach and remove for high crimes and misdemeanors.
Now compare the unlikely removal of your boy with the malfeasance that put him in the White House to begin with. While the gutless members of Congress in humble supplication to your boy will never lift a finger to oust him, the contents of the Mueller report may show that your favorite government, the one in Russia, infiltrated our electoral system and that your boy conspired to make it happen.

Receiving comfort from an enemy in influencing our election is in no way consistent with the principles of democracy.
Punishment of such conduct is consistent with the Constitution.
