If she were lying about it, that would have been the immediate talking point.

The only way to get into an SCIF is to either hold an appropriate TS clearance or to sign in as a visitor, accompanied by someone authorized to escort you in. Besides, it's the White House Situation Room, it has big honking signs outside the door. She knew exactly what she was doing, she simply did not think through what was going to happen if she released that tape. A normal person would have gotten an immediate visit from NCIS.

"Holding the appropriate clearance," is not optional.

You can hold the appropriate clearance and be approved for unescorted access (because you have a need to know). Or you can hold the appropriate clearance and be approved for escorted access (and you have a need to know).

There is no, "doesn't hold the appropriate clearance, but gets to come inside because ..."

And everyone who has the appropriate clearance has been thoroughly lectured on what you can and can't bring into a SCIF - basically all electronics are out.
