Acuna homered again today, which gives him homers in three straight games and five of his last six. He's been absolutely raking since the Braves put him in the leadoff spot after the All-Star break.

Albies doesn't qualify as a rookie and Acuna has not been up all year, although he'll get consideration.

Michael Taylor. Was saying sometimes Soto will sit and they will play Harper, Taylor and Eaton. Knew that Soto began the season in the minors,
but thought he played more games.

Good question. Brian Anderson has been very good, but I think Soto and Rodriguez are more deserving. I think Ozzie Albies used up his rookie eligibility last season.

Yes Albies 217 at-bats last year.

Correct, Albies is not a rookie. He played almost a third of the season last year.

It will be Soto or Acuna, I'm fairly certain.

Carlos Correa was AL ROY in 2015 despite getting only 387 ABs.

Soto (254 ABs in 74 games) and Acuna (252 in 65) should both exceed that if they stay healthy. The Nationals and Braves both have 40-odd games remaining and both guys are playing every day.

Soto is not having a good August. Whether that's a blip or the always common rookie slowdown remains to be seen, but I could see his numbers falling off. Acuna still looks strong. Both have logged enough time.

If Rodriguez does indeed finish with rate stats comparable to Scherzer's and is in the range of 120-130 IP, it'd be tough to ignore. We'd be talking about someone who essentially was the best pitcher in the league for four months. He has been off the charts -- the last time he allowed more than two runs was June 19.

For as much as ESPN screws up, putting KO with Kurkjian and Eddie for NYM @ NYY is pretty good.
