Honestly, how do you read something like that after you've written it and not think "Holy shit, what happened to me?"

A Trump defender told me that Trump wasn’t a racist asshole or a misogynistic asshole because he was an across-the-board asshole.

I pointed out that it was quite possible for Trump to be a racist asshole, a misogynistic asshole and an across-the-board asshole.

So, even though we disagreed on some of the details, we shook hands in agreement that Trump is an asshole.

 

He was on hold while Trump was talking to the leader of the Boy Scouts.

 

It's all a push/pull. You can't put him on the stand, so then it becomes whether you think that you've established doubt with your cross-examination.

I've never tried criminal cases, but I think it would be strange if you put on a very short and technical defense unless you believe it's a slam dunk winner. Here, it sounds like the case is pretty tight, so they may be better off just arguing that it still wasn't enough to establish guilt, especially with a guy like Gates getting a sweet deal.

Was she an employee of the United States Government or a private employee? If she’s was not a government employee what was she doing in a public financed workspace?
