There are many things trump says or does about which a rational and mannered adult should know and do. He is not a rational and mannered adult. As stated many times and many ways he is a spoiled, hyper egotistical, lying sociopath with no regard for others. He cannot separate himself from any great good.

 

If you were African American, whose ancestors were slaves in America, whose family lived through the resulting legal discrimination, social discrimination and the denial of equal right for 120 years, how would you behave today?
Would you be damn grateful for living in such a swell country where you are as valued or ignored as every other person, especially white persons? Or would you harbor resentment and well founded paranoia about the country in which you live

It's insane that you can get locked up for a minor offense like weed, but kill your child in a religious ritual and train kids to shoot up schools, and a judge lets you out on bail. It makes no sense.

Disclaimer: For the intellectually slow on this board, the above post is not directed towards any poster on this board, but about how a judge let some nutjob out on bail. It's not anything made up in my head about something someone on here said, but about things going out in the real world. I hope this clears up any confusion you may have.

A Tariff Act was the first law passed by the U.S. government after the Constitution was ratified.

 

Tariffs and customs duties were our primary source of tax revenue before the income tax entered our lives. So let's not pretend the Revolution was about ending protectionism. We loved and lived off that shit for at least the next century and a half afterward.

 

You expect me to believe the Founders had strong, principled beliefs on an important issue that on paper they treated as a life or death priority but refused to address it because it would've personally inconvenienced them?

This doesn't sound like them at all.
