That's odd. I've read here the NK summit was a huge success for Trumpy the U.S.

Say what you will, but this never happened under any previous POTUS.

I agree. The truth is there are people who consider themselves above using the word, but are racist in the way their actions do harm or exclude minorities. And there are (or maybe more accurate, were) people who used the word out of ignorance, but were generally kind to everyone.

I was baffled by that (as were many others). The margin was close enough and two counties fucked it up badly enough that I think most people assumed the state was going to have to look at the vote in every county.

In an earlier time, I had the confidence to believe, and there was occasional proof, that Kansas would elect a Democrat as governor if they felt the Republicans had gone too far in one direction. But now Kansas is like every other state that elects the candidate who claims the sky is falling the loudest. Kelly had a chance, a small one maybe, to be the Democrat who could get elected and correct course. Now we're gonna elect the guy who has been told to go back to law school by a judge, wasn't able to prove the voter fraud he so loudly proclaimed was happening and could end up being worse than Brownback. Why? Because he attached a fake gun to his Jeep in a parade and people freaked.

Damn this state and damn an electorate that's going to continue to choose the worst option only because it's a Republican who's all show and no policy.
