It's a very smart discussion show. (It's not a debate show - there's none of the fake argument crap that sustains most of the similar shows.) Bomani and Pablo are probably the two brightest guys at ESPN and they have a very good chemistry. It's also a lot more fun than the average sports show.

On top of that it's beautifully produced. It's an 8 camera set, and it's done at a lower frame rate to look more like film. It looks unlike anything else on TV, which is a hell of a trick for a sports talk show.

I've watched it. Yes, it has a nice Soderbergh look to it. At an hour it didn't get my blood pumping. Dialing in on a few topics may help it. It is better than ATH but most things are.

Conservative hero Clay Travis will be thrilled that High Noon has been cut in half.

I assume he watches the show trying to decide whether he hates the black guy or the Mexican more.*

*Yes, I know Pablo is Filipino.

Mike Greenberg hot take: "Tiger Woods is the most exciting player in the world to watch."

Not sure where this goes, but Sportscenter anchor Randy Scott has the most punchable face I've ever seen on the network.

Because he's Bill Simmons, he ran it into the ground, but I did like when he was poking fun at the Greeney Tease, as he called it. "COMING UP! I'll tell you why Tiger Woods, is the best loser in sports."

So I'm sitting here wondering if maybe it's a promotion...because 4pm EST is a much better time slot than noon. That would off-set the sliced half-hour in prestige, IMO.

It's a much better slot. Bummed that the show got cut in half but 4pm makes much more sense.

Chris Berman is coming BACK, BACK, BACK to NFL Countdown as an in-studio person. And why do I think the Swami schtick is going to be a big part of it to pick spreads.
