    There are no mainstream republicans. There are republicans who, by definition, support trump. There are democrats who are the antithesis of trump but without the ability to be crude, rude and abusive. And there’s the middle.

    Looking strongly askance at the suggestion that a self-identified socialist should think the media has chosen to “befriend and protect” her. I think she’s overreacting, but I can’t blame her for not wanting to play into a dishonest discussion mischaracterizing her as Stalin 2018 because it plays well with underinformed readers.

    Of course she should allow the press, though. I’m just saying I understand why she doesn’t.

    Excluding the media wasn’t about making anyone comfortable except for the candidate.
