I agree with “lies, damn lies and statistics.” It’s fair game to take tangible numbers and facts and spin them to your point of view. That’s politics.

But that isn’t what’s going on here. Trump and friends are telling bald faced, proveable, laughable LIES. There is no spin. Lies.

You can’t compromise with people who don’t accept facts.

You are entitled to your own opinion but not your own facts... yada yada yada.

It's probably going democrat. Martha McSally is leading the polls for the GOP nomination. Every single poll I've seen has her losing pretty handily to Kyrsten Sinema in the general.

That's not the issue. The issue is Trump pulling the clearance, not for any violation or for cause, but because he does not like what Brennan is saying. Brennan's free speech is constitutionally protected, and Trump taking punitive action because Brennan is a political opponent is an abuse of power. There was no attempt at a fig leaf, no "Brennan was leaking documents", no "Brennan broke X rule, and as a result we are breaking off his ability to consult." Brennan pissed Trump off, and Trump found a bureaucratic stick he could hit Brennan with. He did *not* use that tool with a legitimate reason.

This is basically identical to the Comey firing; Trump did it, and then told the press his reasons, which were that he was angry about the Russia investigation. Sorry, that's not a just cause.

 

About 4,500,000 people have security clearances. Seems nuts to me.

 

It’s not a zero-percent chance Trump comes out against oxygen.

 

I get the feeling many people think that those who have a security clearance means that they can walk into the CIA and the NSA and demand to see any file or foto. That's not it. It just means that if someone wants their opinion on something - they are cleared to be shown the materials they are being asked to give an opinion of.
