    Sure.

Then watch Auburn lose to Alabama and Georgia while Washington runs the table.

Then we'll have the same fun as always!

I wouldn't be surprised about UW. I get the sense that people are pointing to them in the Pac12 because there isn't anyone else to point to.

If I were a gambler, I’d take Texas to beat Maryland by far more than 13.

Mississippi State has suspended quarterback Nick Fitzgerald for the opener against Stephen F. Austin.
The given reason was for a violation of team rules -- that occurred in March. The suspension was announced during Joe Moorhead's press conference today, and this is the first anyone has heard (or at least reported, that I've seen) about this.

All you need to know about this college football season is that a running back at Stanford is being touted as the Heisman favorite, because there is nobody else to tout.

Lots of value on the board for Week 1. A welcome 2-0 start with Wyoming and Hawaii back on Saturday.

One element -- never lay heavy points on a coach with a new program. They often don't have a QB figured out, still someone else's players, etc.

    Thus:
    Cincinnati +16.5 vs UCLA
Texas San Antonio +18 at Arizona State
    Akron +25 at Nebraska

    Also:
    Western Kentucky +37.5 at Wisconsin
    Navy/Hawaii over 59
Colorado State +7.5 vs. Colorado (that's an overreaction).
Northern Illinois +10 over Iowa and sprinkle a little on the money line for NIU to win (+335)
San Diego State +14.5 vs. Stanford

    Leans:
    Bowling Green +32 at Oregon
    Louisville +24.5 vs. Alabama
Middle Tennessee +4.5 to WIN vs Vandy
    Purdue -2 vs. Northwestern

Very tempted to take Minnesota -17 against New Mexico State but now it's up to -21. Gophers always start slow.

Colorado State lost at home to Hawaii, giving up more than 600 yards. CSU has been spending The school just spent 220 million dollars on a new stadium. Mike Bobo, the head coach got a raise to 1.85 million dollars a year for going 7-6 with a bowl loss in his first three years. He also was given a budget of three million dollars for a salary pool for assistants and other key support staff.

The school drew 27,000 last year in the first year in the new stadium. I don't think attendance will be that high this year. MWC schools get about a million a year in television money. So CSU ash to be bleeding money in the athletic department.

I know other schools are in the same situation. But what a fiscal black hole college sports is for any school outside either outside the Power Five or at the bottom of a Power Five league.

I think they put all of their eggs in the Big XII basket, thinking the $250 million in facilities upgrades would be enough to get them in. Houston did the same thing a few years back but they're drawing better, or were.

These schools can be so delusional. The Power Five is an oligopoly. They are only going to add a school that makes them money. If Houston can not get in even Even with a 41,000 seat stadium CSU is not getting in, Houston is the number 7 television market and Denver is the number 16. Fort Collins is also an attractive town but it is an hour north of the Denver metro area.

Money thrown down the drain which could have improved the school or been used to cut tuition.
