I don’t think they were trying to make you feel comfortable.

And if Moddy was a television character I don’t think I need to say who he is.

Way behind schedule but started "Ray Donovan"; Liev Schreiber is really good.

How did the Taylor Schilling-Laura Prepon story lines on Orange is the New Black become so ... boring? Uninspired? Secondary?

I mean, it's like Jenji wants to write them off and can't pull the trigger.

I don't know who or what the "center" of OITNB is anymore - I'm guessing it's Taystee, but then they spend time on the guards stories or inmates that really don't do a whole lot and then suddenly they're gone. What is the point of spending two or three years developing a character then abandoning it for a season.

  8. They needed to move off Piper. She was one of the least interesting aspects of the show from start. Piper was a key to get in.
I say this having tuned out and moved on. I checked out after the Season 3 finale.

They've moved strong toward the two new characters, the former pimp and Piper's cellmate.

The Handmaid's Tale is unbingeable. So grim. It makes Mr. Robot look like a comedy.

My girlfriend is reading the book. She says the writing is trash but the story is dark. Sounds right up my alley. She recommends I skip the book and just watch the show. Is this the move?

I read the book and thought the story was decent. The show, however, took the world building to another level. It provided the right visuals to create a haunting and plausible future. I'm almost finished with the first season and look forward to watching the second.

I never read the book, but I think the book draws something out a little more and the show does it abruptly.

    I liked abrupt.
