So I've got a few journo questions about this Trump/Bloomberg/OTR story.

Based on the way I read it The Star's story, Bloomberg leaked the OTR stuff. I can't square why Trump would go off the record and then leak what he said. Wouldn't he just say it on the record?

The Kavanaugh hearings might be a crime in themselves. Fruit of a poisoned tree.

The journo question that matters: Did the Bloomberg reporter grant his request when he said, "off the record." Because if you're in an interview, and the subject says, "off the record" and gives you no chance to respond to that request, it remains on the record. Everything is on the record until the journo in that situation says it's not.
