Martavis Bryant cut by Raiders, facing suspension

I'm sure there will be debate about the Mack trade for a while, but there is no question the Raiders' draft-day deal with the Steelers was a mistake. They gave up a third-round pick for Martavis Bryant, who they cut today. He hadn't looked good in training camp or the exhibition games and he has an appeal of another suspension pending.

So the Bills only have Peterman, who's only regular season experience is throwing five interceptions in a half, or Josh Allen, who was the second team all MWC QB lat year. Allen has a lot of ability but is a work in progress.

I would have thought that having an experienced NFL QB on the roster would be worth a fifth round pick.

Should be a fun meeting when Gruden addresses the team.

So, the Steelers really do like Joshua Dobbs?

Apparently, they were charmed by his ability to torch second and third-string defenses this preseason. They like Dobbs enough that they left themselves with no experience at quarterback behind Roethlisberger.

In all fairness, Dobbs did seem to make a big step forward from last preseason, but he still throws way too many balls into coverage. He threw two interceptions in 43 attempts this preseason, but could have easily had more. Tomlin has shown an interest in mobile quarterbacks with accuracy issues before, though there hasn't been a big impact in the games because he has had Roethlisberger as the starter his entire time with the Steelers.

I think cutting Landry Jones was also a little bit about liking what they saw from Mason Rudolph this preseason. I wouldn't be shocked to see him starting if Roethlisberger were to get injured.

I got the impression that they just didn't like what they saw from McCarron at all in training camp and preseason. That offense could really be a mess all season.

"... But I just spent 2,000 words insinuating that Timothy McVeigh bombed Oklahoma City in 1995 because the Buffalo Bills lost four Super Bowls in a row."

The first identifying information of any kind begins 923 words in with "a 24-year-old Buffalonian."

The first reference to Timothy McVeigh is at word 1,090.

That's code for your editor calling and you saying "I got nothin', bruh."
