Crazy Rich Asians. Worth the price of admission. The guy who played the lead looks like he could be Giancarlo Stanton's brother.

Watched Stop Making Sense on streaming last night. Not only was it delightful, it was fascinating to see a film walk the tightrope between pretentious and fun and never make a misstep.

Agreed. I had a lot more fun watching it than I anticipated.

We saw Trainwreck last night (I could sleep in because taking kids to first day of school). I don't really like Amy Schumer, but it was a funny movie. LBJ was legitimate good.

    New Halloween trailer is out.
Looks like all we have to do to get a good Halloween movie is bring Jamie Lee Curtis out of mothballs every 20 years.

How many more fucking Halloween movies will come out? Hollywood is milking the series for all its worth.

This is the first one since 2009.
More problematic is the timeline. This one is apparently a direct sequel to the original and ignores everything else. So that makes six different timelines to the series, if I'm counting correctly. It's basically an anthology with a common villain at this point.

Six different timelines? Jesus. Watching the first two would be sufficient. This is the case with all those Saw movies.

I feel the best thing they could have done is do a sequel to Season of the Witch. As poorly done and received that movie was, the concept is very scary and could be a great story. What happens after the majority of the country’s children turn into monsters?
