    This is the problem with rational objective journalism. Remnick, who is better read and educated than I, who writes better on his worst day than I have ambition to write on my best, bbelieves that confronting someone with whom you disagree in discourse will produce and understanding by all parties of their respective view points. Unless of course your opposite in the discourse is a liar and irrational.

    Wickedly smart move by the Republicans. They not only kept Garland off the court, they got a justice more to their liking. Once they get Kavanaugh confirmed, the Republicans will ensure they have a majority on the Supreme Court for at least the next generation. That's huge.
