Fox wins. They get to be the victim. #failingnewyorker
First they came for Alex Jones
Then they came for Steve Bannon

For the first time in 2200 years I get to be ‘they’

And if he had five kids (one born out of wedlock) with three different women, banged porn stars (while married) and then paid for their silence to influence an election, started a fake university to scam people, refused to release his tax returns, refused to divest from his overseas business interests.......

One party is just a party. The other party is an authoritarian./fascist/racist cult. Any self-identified Republican is now an enemy of the United States of America. Fuck that McCain funeral bullshit (although I understand its cause). This is war. You're for the United States or you're a Republican until you prove otherwise.

The subtext of the Republican Party and conservatives is the move away from a democratic republic and towards a propertied republic.

Bannon disinvited from festival. Whoever at Conde Nast ordered Remnick to do it ordered him to take the heat and grovel in the apology. He should quit and tell the whole story.

Yep. This is a classic case of blind allegiance. To Trump and his klan, the only Justice is that which benefits them.

    1. Tired routine.
    2. Would never, ever, mix any whiskey, let alone a good one, with Coke.

New Yorker bungled this from the start. I’m not a fan of stopping people from talking. The “disinvites” at Berkley are a prime example. Let them talk and show how wrong they are. Beat them at debate. Embarrass them.

But the lack of foresight by The New Yorker is staggering. This event? This lineup? You HAD to know how it was going to turn out.

Bannon should have never been invited to talk on this platform. He has plenty of outlets. Now it’s fodder for his cult.

    Unforced error.
