Drake Maverick is no Paul Ellering.

I guess they needed someone who could take care of Dana Brooke in those grudge matches with Titus Worldwide.

Somewhat. They were an important part of the Attitude Era, but they weeen't the main reason for the WWF's revitalization.

On the other hand, the Horsemen carried the NWA and the NWO put WCW in the stratosphere.

Cone to think of it, the Von Erichs should be third. They were legitimate gods for a while on Texas.

Damn. He may be 107 years old and a shell of what he once was, but nobody commands an arena like Taker.

And I could honestly see HBK interfere in Australia and come out of retirement for Taker -- probably for Mania.

I'm sure we can get The Shield's court records through a FOIL request.

I don't mean to glom off your post, Batman, but your top three and thoughts on them pretty much echo mine. When you're talking factions in wrestling, there's the Horsemen and then there's everybody else. Combining impact, star power and longevity, I don't think anyone can match them at this point. nWo definitely needs to be up near the top due to pure impact, although that faction burnt out after a couple of years. DX played a huge part in ushering in the new "Attitude" as it were, though Austin and Rock also had a whole lot to do with that.

I think the Shield can definitely shoot up to the top in the future, but that legacy is still being built.

Evolution, the Freebirds and the Hart Foundation are all solid additions to this list. Undisputed Era hasn't really been around long enough, the Nexus had a hot start and then fizzled. I think New Day can hang around at the bottom part of the list (if the Freebirds can be considered a faction, I think New Day can also).

As far as those that aren't on the list but could be: The Dangerous Alliance in early '90s WCW had a lot of star power, and the Bullet Club would probably warrant a spot.

EDIT: After seeing Baron's post, damn, how could I forget the Von Erichs? I guess because I thought of them more as family than faction, but, yeah, they WERE World Class in their heyday.

I expect to see Joe Anoa'i, Colby Lopez and Jonathan Good in the Dispatch police blotter tomorrow.

I was watching Better Call Saul and missed the tag title match. Did they really just bury two top tag teams for the sake of putting the belts on a couple of guys who in no way, shape or form need them right now?

That was the best Taker promo in at least 5 years. And that real true surprise pop? And the double loud pop when he actually walked in and it wasnt a music tease? Awesome.
