I’ll bite. Trump wants to tariff Apple out of business by either making a private company charge US consumers exhorbinant prices for products through artificial barriers to trade or make a private company make their products in America, with the existing labor pool. US labor is now, according to you, more expensive than ever before. US labor, historically, is not as competent as foreign labor in assembly line productions. US cars are inferior, many US made consumer products are inferior to foreign made products, especially at the affordable and mid-class ranges. Tariffs will mean inflation until US production facilities are constructed, if at all. Labor costs in the US rise due to low qualified supply, more inflation. Inflation drives down demand, causing layoffs and unemployment.

    From the first link:
"...local contractors are struggling to find enough skilled workers to fuel the construction boom.

“We’re seeing it across the board. There are shortages in every trade,” said Peter Dyga, president of the South Florida-based Florida East Coast Chapter of Associated Builders and Contractors, a non-profit trade organization comprised of several construction firms and contractors."

Doesn't that indicate a shortage of skilled trades rather than the general job market? The second link seems to speak specifically to the poor situation in Arizona, not a national trend.

Some of this wouldn’t be a bad thing at all if it means more production of semiconductor products within the US, thus protecting the supply chain.

There’s a LOT of counterfeit and compromised chips making their way into military electronics, and that’s a huge operational and cyber threat that you don’t hear much about. Fucking scary.

The cost to ramp up to production of cars is incredibly expensive, some a dumbass fraud like trump has no clue about. Unless you consider his experience in outsourcing the manufacturing of his licensed polyester schmata. The cost of production from ground zero to roll out of,product is prohibitive. All trump does is drive up costs to Americans, and cut profits to real business. Intel, Microsoft, Apple and their suppliers and contractors are a greater source of wealth, jobs and return on investment than the legacy fuel industries of coal, gas and oil. Trump and dumbass supporters are literally trying to make the US a second world country
