I was shocked that both Pittsburgh and Cleveland didn’t try in OT to get another 10-15 yards. Between a wet ball, snap, hold and plant foot, kicking a 40-plus yard FG was damn near impossible.

Again, I wonder why these teams don’t have a formal “game management specialist” who tracks time outs, end-game theory and the practicality of wind/weather.

The Packers are dreadful. Rodgers is worth 17 points to that brutal roster. Nagy and his staff had to get too cute at the end. One more run on 3rd and 1 and the game was over. GB had no more time outs.

  2. Davis probably shooulkd have been flagged and ejected for a hit in the 1st Q. Officials missed it and announcers never bothered. Bet money he gets a fine ...

There's all this talk that Matt Nagy learning under Andy Reid has been a good thing.

He has definitely learned game management from Andy Reid.

You could have replayed that final Bears sequence 20 times and I'm not sure they would score a touchdown even once.

On top of everything else that Aaron Rodgers is excellent at on the field, he is the only NFL quarterback that I am aware of who is remotely interesting and provides a decent interview. Tom Brady is an otamatone. Kirk Cousins, Russell Wilson, Philip Rivers, these guys are cornball dorks. Cam Newton and Jameis Winston are weirdos.

The Redskin win has to be the surprise of the weekend, correct?

Not when the Browns tied Pittsburgh, no.

Or when Ryan Fitzpatrick led Tampa Bay to 48 points -- against anyone.

Some teams just don't get it and never will. Roethisberger and Tomlin are two of the worst end-of-the-half strategists — ever. Those must be some entertaining conversations during timeouts.

When the Browns had the FG attempt blocked, I think there were 9 seconds left to go and I nearly lost it when I saw the Steelers line up to run a play. Who would possibly conceive of a sack, fumble and return for a TD?
