In my small sample of football fan friends, the flags on crap like this irritate fans much more than the Kaepernick crap.

The problem with the Raiders, give a coach a 10-year contract he will develop a 10-year plan.

Serena was penalized for coaching, the Raiders learned from her mistake.

I saw mention on Twitter last night that at some points when the Raiders were on defense, Gruden wasn't even watching the game. He was sitting on the bench talking with offensive players while the coordinator ran the game.

Roughing the passer, pass interference, illegal contact. Just draw the laundry. If you actually complete a pass, that's a bonus.

  6. Panthers' Greg Olsen has a fractured foot. Same on he injured last year. Will miss a significant amount of time.

Eh, he's 33. He played in all but two games the first 10 years of his career. He has already outlived the lifespan of his position.

I mentioned this on the Week 2 thread. Foot injuries are a bitch. I'm on the tail end of the recovery from surgery No. 2 on my right foot and I sure as hell wouldn't want to try to play football with foot problems.

What’s worse, a called it made incorrectly, or a call missed? With the latter there’s always a chance it wasn’t seen and not simply a product of inaction. The peel back block you cited may just have not been seen. The call and Garrett amd the one on Goedon were just blatantly bad. I never have a problem with the calls that are seen or aren’t called, but calls that are made that are blatantly wrong are actions changing the outcomes of games, and that’s when I start to wonder about officiating in any sport. As legal sports gambling becomes more widespread, it’s going to be tough not to wonder more.

Yup. Even plantar fascitis, which gets thrown around like it's nothing, is a huge handicaps. When it hurts to stand or walk and you have to sprint and cut on that foot, it hurts a lot. Broken bones are worse, of course.
