What's funny is that I didn't even consider describing him as a Cleric, and I'm an old gamer. Charlatan/Thief maybe.

It would behoove people in the storm's path to stock up on books. FEMA said today the power might not return for weeks.

A friend who's a climate scientist says there's a new model adding the possibility of the storm hitting and bumping south down the coast towards Georgia. Post is two hours old. Have not heard it elsewhere.

You know where a hurricane is going to go when it hits there. Up for grabs till then.

We probably won't know the exact projection until later tonight or early tomorrow morning.

It's North Carolina. All of the books have already been colored in.

They've gone into get-the-hell-out-of-dodge mode in South Cackalacky...

And we already have a flash flood warning up tonight in RVA for an unrelated storm. Ugh.

The last path projection I saw bumped potential landfall zone south and then has Florence taking a left turn and heading west across North Carolina.

If Hurricane Florence floods Florence, South Carolina, how meta would that be?

Worth a look: Has a hurricane hit a namesake city?

I'd rather it stay out to sea. Alas ...

(Also, have friends in Fl0-Town ... would not wish this storm on anyone's worst enemy ... )
