IMO we already had the parody/nightmare example with Aziz Ansari.

Edit to add that also, the "nightmare example" for women is that these allegations are often dismissed before they are investigated.

While I'm cynical enough of politics to view this development with some skepticism, I do want to know more before passing judgment.

I don't think this will amount to anything changing so I fully expect him to be confirmed. However, if this accusation is true it is really, really bad. I can only speak for myself as an awkward with girls teenager (I would have done just about anything to get some). I never, never, never did or would have done anything remotely close to what he is accused of doing. This is way beyond "it was a different time" or "just some horny teen grabbing some boob". This is attempted rape.

 

Unless this begins a cascade of women saying Kavanaugh also tried this in college, I see it going nowhere.

I agree. Definitely not "normal" clumsy teenage behaviour, or whatever you want to call it. The mouth covering and loud music is pretty fucking gross.

If he didn't finish the job, it means he was the least aggressive and entitled kid in his class.

 

I meant to post this before this week, but I guess now is as good a time as any. Kavanaugh always seems to have the goofy, self-satisfied look of a frat boy who got away with screwing the passed out homecoming queen. Just smarmy as hell, and creepy.
