    CAUGHT LOOTING: This video shows a reporter from an NBC affiliate confront looters at a Family Dollar store in North Carolina after Florence rolled through the area. Police say five people were arrested, "despite initial concerns from the store management."

    Typical TV grandstanding. It’s not your job to intervene and play cop. It’s your job to chronicle the events and let the real cops do their job.

    Wilmington cops are pissed because by the time they got there the store manager said "fuck it, let 'em have it."

    No victim, no crime. They made a public statement chastising the store.

    I just got some pics from my family that someone sent them, and the area where we all are doesn’t look that bad. There is some siding/shingles cosmetic damage to a couple of house and some leaves blown around, but that’s about it. That part of the island certainly didn’t get the high water like the other areas, and not being beach front is the right place to be.
