Kavanaugh: I don't remember meeting anybody from the law firm in question within the past year.
Also Kavanaugh: I distinctly remember not being at that party decades ago.

Yes. Let’s compare the meetings, hearings and votes for Bork and Garland.

Oh wait. We can’t. Because Fuck Mitch McConnell.

That was a weak, stupid post.

Hey you're right about McConnell. He's only going to allow Republicans on the Supreme Court.

Yeah, bullshit. After the Bork episode, Democratic Senate majorities confirmed Kennedy, Souter and Thomas. And Thomas was an ultra-conservative nominee replacing an ultraliberal one, he was highly controversial on additional grounds and it was within a year of a presidential election. Yet he was still confirmed by a Democratic majority. Meanwhile, Kennedy and Souter were thought to be reliable conservatives at the time -- that the presidents who appointed them misfired (though that's overstated in Kennedy's case) is not on the Democrats. So the Bork episode may have been unprecedented to a degree but it did NOT start the trend you claim it did.

Now when's the last time a Republican Senate confirmed a Democratic nominee? Or even gave one a hearing?

Just wait for the 21-member Supreme Court in 2021.

THEN, the constitutional amendment to cap it.

Brett Kavanaugh's school: beach parties, sex and even a STRIPPER | Daily Mail Online

Brett Kavanaugh's private Catholic high school was 'positively swimming in alcohol' and his graduating class of 80 students consumed at least 100 kegs of beer their senior year, according to an account from one of his classmates who has been accused of witnessing Kavanaugh assaulting a high school girl during a drunken party in 1982.

    ...

[Judge] writes: 'When we didn’t go to O'Rourke's, we took turns having parties. The word would get out that someone’s parents were going away, and the other guys would pressure them into "popping," promising to help them keep things under control.

'This, of course, was a joke. I had seen houses destroyed by rampaging hordes of drunken teenagers, friends of the kid whose parents owned the house.'

In fact Judge says that happened to him when his parents left him alone and another student kicked a hole from their attic through to the ceiling below as he searched for alcohol.
