Going to be interesting if we get a whole new round of accusations of sitting Senators being asked to confirm a Supreme Court judge. Might be "educational" if any of them have been accused or have done similar things like Kavanaugh. I figure we will find out.

No, because he has already lied about certain things--the creepy judge he worked for, saying he did not know he was creepy. The stolen emails-haha-that he had. Someting else that I can't remember. Like many are saying, there has to be plenty of candidates out there who are honest upstanding people. And personally, I hope the process takes a long time. Long enough to block a very conservative person.

Here’s the thing about Kavanaugh:
Gorsuch went first because he’s the guy they knew would get in. Kavanaugh is the guy they REALLY WANT to get in. They won’t give up on him now.

 

I agree the allegation is old, but how is it sketchy? She provided details long before Kavanaugh was a SCOTUS candidate. She named another living person as a witness. She was reluctant to come forward because she knew right-wing zealots — who also don’t care whether the accusation is true or not, by the way — would come after her, which they have.

If clearing him of the allegation is the goal, then why not welcome a full investigation — or all potential witnesses testifying under oath, including Judge?
