He's finished.

 

It won't happen, but... In a dream world, it would be nice if Trump made a nomination that everyone, or least most people, could agree is a good and qualified judge. Not hugely partisan. Just a really good judge. It could be a real coming together moment to see an almost unanimous vote in favour of someone.

Instead, he's going to stick with Kavanaugh, who will ram himself through like a date rapist.

How is he president? I don't understand anything anymore.

 

No, they’ll keep nominating some version of the same kind of jurist.

However, beyond wanting to keep someone who is (potentially) guilty of what Kavanaugh has been accused of, a failed SCOTUS nominee is considered a scar on an administration.

 

As far as I can tell, they're keeping him away from the paper towels. But it's early.

 

He knows they'll be thrown back at him this time.

 

Neither does the President.
