    HeyAbbott-
Kavanaugh and Donald were never told no. That's why we're going through all of this.
There was no chance they were ever going to slip through the cracks so there was no reason for them to accept no.
Other than it's what mommy did for a living, Kavanaugh (who apparently never learned right from wrong) chose a career path in which he would literally sit in judgment of other people.
As it's what he and his phylum had done their whole lives.

All she had to do was carry Wisconsin ... Wisconsin, mind you. Trump is on her.

So you are going with making up the other side rather than actually reading what others are trying to tell you. Thank you for clearing that up.

To be clear, that isn't what I said or what Gee said. The point he was making, the one you are avoiding, is the fact that she told people years ago debunks the idea that she is making it up now to screw with his shot at the Supreme Court.

The goal is to stick President Trump with a failed Supreme Court nomination and delay the process until after the midterms. If the Democrats can win back the Senate, then things get interesting. Maybe we get a nominee closer to the middle of the road. Maybe President Trump nominates another one like Kavanaugh and figures he can browbeat them into an approval. Honestly, I'm not sure the Democrats would approve anybody he nominates at this point.

At that point, maybe we see President Trump try to redefine what it means to advise and consent.

I don't think it is going to get there. I think Kavanaugh will be on the court before the midterms.

From what I know of trump, if kavanaugh fails he’ll nominate someone and we all will wish we could have kavanaugh back.

You think we're just now reaching that point?
The Dems have plainly said back in 2016 that they're willing to do whatever Trump wants, as long as it's exactly what they want and exactly how they say to do it. I know some of it is payback for the childish shit the Republicans pulled with Garland, but they also seem to have this obnoxious attitude that every appointee should fall in lockstep with their philosophy or they're not the least bit qualified. Which means they're not voting to approve a Republican nominee. Not now, not ever.

My dream is that no one gets appointed. Ever. We keep going round and round this circle until all of the Supreme Court justices are dead or retired and they're doing a Weekend at Bernie's thing with the 147-year-old corpse of Ruth Bader Ginsburg to settle cases. It'll take a while to get there, but everybody seems to be working on it.
