Agreed, I don't have a good rebuttal for that. It's bad, one of the more embarrassing time periods in this country's history. No doubt.

And I also agree there seems to be a level of division in this country that at least I haven't experienced in my lifetime. But attitudes like yours, the country is doomed, comes from only watching headlines and devouring the 24-hour news cycle. That doesn't paint a proper picture of this country. If you only see Trump's twitter and the morons at his rally, yeah I can see why you'd think we are fucked. But I'll say again, that is an ineffectual minority of even the people who voted for the guy.

I think you'll see pretty soon how quickly this can turn around. Now gimme a second to turn off my Lee Greenwood album.

 

Type better hope America is not like AIG, which ostensibly had to be bailed out because its collapse would have brought down anyone associated with it.

How so? I think the younger generation growing up in this climate are going to lean very heavily toward the "Fuck Trump" vote, while those die-hard Trumpists will be aging ... umm ... out of the voting population.
