Do you own a suit?

Have never owned a suit. Wish I was closer in size to my dad, he had a lot of high-end ones. I like to think if I won the lottery that one of my first purchases would be on a few damned nice suits, just to have them.

I bought a second-hand tuxedo in my 20s to get me through a few friends' weddings and used it for years when I used to work a side gig as a dealer at casino parties.

You don’t want to know this number.

I think I have 12 plus a tux. My workplace is more formal, so I wear a suit at least 4 days a week and a suit or blazer/slacks Fridays.

With no suit, what do you wear to weddings/funerals/job interviews?

There are nice clothes beyond suits. As for job interviews, I’ll cross that bridge if I ever find it again.

In the year before I left the community college, I was interviewing a lot for other positions.
When I was at the university I wore one to work fairly often.

Now, maybe once or twice a year.

I have not been in a job interview in 18 years and when I did it was a "who you know" kind of thing so I had the gig going in. Funerals and weddings are when a sport coat comes in handy. I have never had a suit type of job.

    I don't own a suit. I don't see the point.
That said, I work in the beer industry now and shorts, T-shirts, ballcaps and beards are pretty common. LOL

    Sort of required for me.

Guessing his collection also qualifies as a business expense tax deduction.

I'm not sure the deduction applies to clothes that can be worn in real life.

But I assume he has a sweet clothing allowance, or gets the suits as wardrobe.
