This is the end of the Mueller probe, right? He now has a plausible reason to nuke Rosenstein and the whole thing. His apologists in Congress, who have reluctantly expressed “concern” from time to time, will now be able to do what they’ve always wanted to do: disparage any investigation into their boy.

Not necessarily. I'd bet he'll still wait until after the midterms, because McConnell will stroke out if he doesn't.

We could have stopped Trump in the primaries. But didn't. We knew he was a shitshow then. We knew he'd be a disaster. And folks swarmed to him.

That's why the Reluctant Trump Voter doesn't get a pass. You don't get to back somebody just because of the R next to his name and then say "Hey, I didn't like voting for him BUUUUUUUT ... "

Yeah. I wish I were more generous about this.

But I'm not sure I agree with the idea that it's OK, because folks were just voting for whatever little is left of old-time Republicanism, or for that SCOTUS seat.

The GOP has been moving right for decades and finally went over the cliff.

If you knowingly vote for the degenerate racist - and his degenerate racist policies - I think you're sort of all-in.

Yep. They all own him now, especially the 'reluctant' ones. And let them never forget it.

    As a friend sez ...

“This is the most criminal administration
we have had from the standpoint of crime.”

I mean, I obviously don't agree with them and weigh that side of the modern Republican party and the Trump movement as considerably more important than they do. That's why I haven't voted for the GOP in a decade, but to write off 60,000,000 Americans as racists isn't going to do much to help you understand the country, even if it may feel good. Pretending each of those 60,000,000 is one and the same with a Breitbart poster isn't going to help.

It's definitely possible they swing in the next election and Trump tumbles. I think Obama would win in a landslide if he ran again, or somehow was running for a first term. But if they're presented with a far, far left candidate, I think they'll once again pinch their noses and vote red, then roll their eyes when their stupid president does something else they agree is stupid.
