Interesting. I will say, several of my Facebook friends who were over the top on Trump -- mostly because of the economy and JOBS, JOBS, JOBS -- have basically stopped posting about him. I think they're even a little embarrassed now about him. I do think there are a lot of conservatives who are embarrassed about what their party has become under his thumb.

 

Somewhere, somehow, Old Tony is alive and kickin' again.

The way it is summarized here does make it seem that way, but I listened live and he came across as sincere in that moment. He was praising Cruz's sense of service.

Cruz' immediate pivot into making his own response a backhanded comment just seemed to be classic Cruz: a smarmy a**hole.
