President Trump: The NEW one and only politics thread

It just didn’t seem to have the oomph that I was expecting. I’ve read every Woodward book about the presidency. This one was actually kind of boring compared to the others. I already knew Trump was incompetent. The book didn’t tell me anything I didn’t already know.

 

Personally, I don't know that I was anticipating anything. I did think maybe, considering the author, it might prove to be historically significant because it wouldn't be written from a sensational standpoint like previous books about the Trump White House. That's why I bout a copy at release instead of waiting to buy it second hand. At any other point in U.S. history, the revelations probably would have been called significant. In 2018, it's called any given weekday afternoon.

Not revealing, but the book does confirm (not like we needed it) that the world would be a much better place if Steve Bannon had caught a terminal case of diarrhea and shit himself to deal many years ago.

Senators and WH staff have been scolding him to STFU as the Kavanaugh-Ford hearing looms.

 

He's golfing today in New Jersey. Then he'll watch the Tour Championship on TV. So wait until tonight and tomorrow morning. Also, he's got a long speech to practice for his UN address Wednesday. Most of it was written by Stephen Miller, so I'm sure it'll do a lot to promote world understanding.
