Conservative anti-Trumper Tom Nichols, who originally was quite dismissive of Ford's charges, has tweeted that no one could have been a choir boy in college and then joined DKE.

 

Hmm, the DKEs where I went to school were geeks. The guys who couldn't get in FIJI, Kappa Sig or even KA.

 

And who gives a flying fuck what some third-world country thinks?

 

No, at my school they were the second-jockiest and second-preppiest frat. That's back in the '60s, of course.

 

That's the spirit. It's good the world thinks we suck.

 

As weird as this sounds, I actually DO still have my calendar from 1985, spanning my junior and senior years in high school. As this story has unfolded, I found it in the box of crap that I kept from the '80s. I flipped through it and found nothing terribly salacious, although it does appear that 1985 might have been my social peak.

 

I thought we weren't in a court of law on this thing. I thought that's why we're supposed to believe Ms. Ford despite the lack of physical evidence, corroboration, witnesses and specific details of the incident in question, because she isn't required to present the preponderance of evidence required in criminal court. Are we in court or are we not?

 

It's not a criminal procedure, so the calendar is kosher. It's not exculpatory as far as I can see.

 

I'm not even sure if I could find my 1986 senior yearbook at this point or the state championship (first in school history!) football ring from my sophomore year.

But, then again, I wouldn't have two different women accusing me and my friends of running trains on passed out girls either.

 

I still have my high school yearbook. It reminds me of having all my hair, so I cherish it.

The older I get the more grateful I am for having been a complete dork during high school and college. All I have to do to prove to my wife I wasn't a predator is let her know my overarching goal in college was to read through an entire stack on the seventh floor of the university library about Abraham Lincoln.
