President Trump: The NEW one and only politics thread

Yesterday and today I've seen some articles that things were a little wobbly behind the scenes. Not attributed to anyone in particular. I've also seen a couple of articles to the effect of "McConnell warned that Kavanaugh might be difficult to confirm, and that another candidate might be a better choice". That might be a CYA spread by the Turtle's people, but I remember hearing something that that effect very early on in the process. It may not be entirely spin.

 

It is sooooo much better here than it was before the Roy Moore special election. The depth of the ad buys was both amazing and obnoxious.

 

Worst I'll be accused of is awkward door conversation at the end of date that went way too long and many times ended with two people waiting for the other to make a first move. That'll be my #metoo. "This jabronie had no game at all. None."

 

You need to schedule these things meticulously, because otherwise a Saturday night gang rape could spill over into Sunday morning, and God wouldn't like that.

My bet is tomorrow morning at 9:01 am, McConnell shuts down the hearings, calls for immediate vote, and orders Kavanaugh sworn in before noon.

I guarantee you in the closed doors of the Trumpublican Party, the most common phrase today is, "I told you we never should have bothered with hearings for Kavanaugh at all."
